Kathleen "Kathy" Corton

Ms. Corton established Hillcrest Finance in 2013 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer. Ms. Corton founded Hillcrest in 2013.  The firm is a New York City-based investment management firm focused on real estate credit strategies. Hillcrest provides custom capital solutions for borrowers and attractive risk-adjusted returns for its institutional investors in all stages of the investment cycle.  The firm focuses on structured credit, including senior loans, mezzanine loans, and preferred equity investments on behalf of institutional separate accounts and commingled funds. 

Ms. Corton has over 35 years of experience in the real estate industry primarily focused on debt investing. Prior to establishing Hillcrest, she was Co-Owner and Partner of Brickman, a New York-based real estate equity and debt investment management firm.  Previously, Ms. Corton was Executive Managing Director at Nomura Asset Capital Corporation, where she headed U.S. real estate loan originations. In this capacity, she was responsible for the management of the firm’s six regional lending offices with over 200 people,  as well as the firm’s national relationships with mortgage bankers and brokers, and the creation and oversight of the firm’s servicing platform.  Ms. Corton began her career in commercial real estate finance as an Associate at a regional broker-dealer in New York City. 

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and History from Georgetown University.  She is a member of the Board of Governors of CRE Finance Council.
